The new Basecamp 20Xe offers an off-the-grid travel experience like no other Airstream has before. The compact and versatile design of the Basecamp 20 paired with 600W of rooftop solar panels, a 10.3kWh lithium Battle Born® battery pack, and a 3,000W inverter means no campground hookup is no problem. With it’s fully inverted system, the Basecamp 20Xe can power all outlets while off-grid using battery power, and can run all trailer functions–even the optional air conditioner and microwave.
Completely Electric Appliances
Every appliance in the Basecamp 20Xe is powered by electricity–the microwave, refrigerator, water heater, furnace, induction cooktop, and so on. This model’s powerful inverter and huge lithium battery bank lets you power up any appliance you need at any location. Charge your laptop while heating up lunch or crank up the AC while you wash dishes–enjoy the comforts of home from anywhere (Although it should be noted that appliance run times will vary depending on variables like local weather conditions and owner operation).
An adventure-ready design
Basecamp 20Xe’s exterior is primed for the wilderness with its 3-inch lift, rugged tires, and black protective-coated stone guards for additional shielding against brush and branches. It has extra storage for gear and houses a grill-sized 20-pound propane tank that feeds an exterior propane hookup for outdoor grilling.
The interior has a rear sleeping space that converts into a dinette, a front dinette, a wet bath, as well as plenty of cabinetry and storage spaces–the shower even includes mounts for hanging up wet gear to dry.
The Basecamp 20Xe comes in two different décors: Sandstone Canyon (left) and Granite Ridge (right). So, whether you enjoy a bright or dark interior palette, there is an option for you!
