Featured Floor Plan: Airstream Globetrotter

A longtime favorite of the Airstream line, the Globetrotter’s spectacular name reflects the design ingenuity of this pristine RV.

With eight different floor plan options, the Globetrotter ranges from 23’ to 30’ in length, sleeping up to 6 people comfortably.

In 1948, Airstream founder Wally Byam and his good friend Cornelius Vanderbilt painted the words “Globe Trotters” on the side of their Airstream and headed for Europe, which inspired the original line of Globetrotter Travel Trailers in the 1950s, according to Airstream.com.

Here’s a look at one of those original Globetrotters, with the names of cities the pair intended to travel to also painted on:

Today, one of the starring qualities in the Globetrotter is the kitchen, whose modern design and appliances look smoother than most apartments.
